The idea was born at a baby shower we organized for one of our dear friends.
During her pregnancy she unfortunately had to keep to the 160 g carbohydrate diet. So even the canapés were made so that everyone could enjoy them without a guilty conscience (smoky eggplant cream with spring onion, tuna cream, goat-cheese quark) — and so that there would be something sweet on the table as well as savory, she recommended a great recipe.
Sesame chocolate cake.
We shopped for the special ingredients and it went straight into the oven. The result is a bold chocolate flavor sweetened with toasted sesame seeds, which we rounded off with a little mascarpone-vanilla whipped cream. The baby-shower decorations have since come down, but the result is well worth tasting here with us!
