You will soon be holding in your hands a reproduction of an etching created 50 years ago, which we are issuing in a limited edition of 150 numbered copies to mark the 150th anniversary of the unification of Budapest.
Arnold Gross (1929–2015), a painter and printmaker, was recognized for his work with numerous awards, including the Artist of the Nation award. He offered an exciting reinterpretation of the color etching genre; his unique and refined technique is inimitable. His works invite us into a special dream world; his goal was to bring joy to his audience. Since 2014, his son has been preserving his artistic legacy within the ARNOLDO gallery and café.
His etching titled “City of Blue Dreams” was created in 1969, and a double print of it also served as the cover of his popular portfolio published in 1973.

The reproduction measures 400 x 316 mm and is an authentic copy of the original work. The giclée print is produced using the highest-quality digital technology, on fine machine-made paper, with pigment ink. These acid-free archival materials ensure that the colors of the image will remain vibrant for over 100 years under normal indoor lighting conditions.
Treat this image as you would a work of art. Do not expose it to direct sunlight or high humidity! Place the image in a glass frame.
The price of the giclée print is 15,000 Forint.
The prints will be available for purchase starting February 24, 2023, at the
Gross Arnold Gallery Café, 1111 Budapest, Bartók Béla út 46,
